Hot wire cutter THERMOCUT 230/E from PROXXON!
The THERMOCUT hot wire cutter 230/E by PROXXON is ideal for architects, designers, artists, prototyping, insulation and last but not least, classic modelling. Stable body with a work surface measuring 390 x 280 mm made of aluminium composite material. With a surface structure that allows the workpiece to glide evenly. Printed grid and protractor scale facilitate practical work. Solid aluminium frame (350 mm throat depth and 140 mm clearance height).
With saddle and wire spool (30 m cutting wire Ø 0.2 mm are included). Mitre cuts are possible by adjusting the saddle. An LED operating display prevents burnt fingers because the cutting wire heats up to full temperature in less than 1 second.
Note: you will find the right temperature (depending on the material and strength) by feel and practice. Optimal cutting is more likely to be achieved at a medium temperature and moderate pressure.
