The second little light on the Advent wreath illuminates the room, a new door in the Advent calendar opens and the whole village is now covered in snow.
Holly and her family are slowly getting into the Christmas spirit and the desire for mulled wine and hot waffles is growing. Holly wanted to visit the Christmas market anyway to buy her family some presents, so she put on some warm clothes and set off.
"The snow-covered houses and trees look so beautiful when they shine in the moonlight with fairy lights and icicles," she murmured to herself.
The whole town is covered in white snow, the streets are icy and it's getting harder and harder to get around. Holly had planned to take the bus that leaves every hour, but as she stood at the bus stop, she realized it wasn't coming. Walking there in the cold and the paths would almost be doomed to failure.
So she waited until a couple of teenagers walked past and told her that the bus wasn't running this week because of the weather. Holly was at a loss and didn't know what to do, as it would take her 2 hours to walk to the Christmas market in this weather! But Holly was determined that she would go there today.
She set off and found it very difficult to walk in the heavy snow and had thought about giving up several times, but just as Holly was about to turn around, a car pulled up next to her.
