Happy New Year!
Design New Year's Eve lucky charms as pendants for champagne bottles. Every year the same questions arise: Where should you celebrate New Year's Eve? With whom? And: What should you bring as a small gift to the party? At least for the last question we have a great idea! Liska from Dekotopia shows how to make a great little lucky charm to decorate a champagne bottle. Because champagne is always good on New Year's Eve ;)

1) Modelling compound and glitter
In the time "between the years" I often find time to implement a few nice little craft ideas. The quiet days and the time with the family inspire me and the next creative occasion - New Year's Eve - is already around the corner! So I took a look in my craft box and found some self-drying modelling compound, glitter and a few mini figures. First I kneaded the glitter into the moulding compound. Then I pressed the mini-figure into it. Poke a hole in the top with a shish kebab and let the pendant dry.

2) Beautiful strings, ribbons and piggies...
When the pendant has dried, you can thread a beautiful string, a gold-plated flower binding wire or a bow through the hole at the top. Tie a knot and then hang everything around the neck of the champagne bottle. It looks great! I made two pendants, one with a lucky pig and one with a chimney sweep. Around the neck of the bottle comes golden ribbon, which is curled and crimped beforehand. Especially funny is the little lucky pig on top of the cork! Of course, this must be secured before opening the bottle ;) A little mini cork jar also came out of my craft box. I glued a small chimney sweep in as a lucky charm ant filled it with a little glitter. If you want the jar to stay longer, close the cork at best by wiping nail polish or liquid wax over it. Let it dry well before turning it upside down. You can also use a small decorative ball instead of the glass. If you shake it now, the chimney sweep will stand in a "golden rain"! If that's not a great lucky charm!
