Fishbelly Bridge

Today our bridge fan Charles has chosen a very special gem for his photo collection – the popular Fishbelly Bridge in Tannau Valley. Charles has chosen this day very consciously and the trip has been planned well in advance. For the photo of the bridge should be crowned with the nostalgic Red Cross train pulled by a steam locomotive being on an extra tour to Tannau village. Luck is on his side as the weather is perfect today. There is no cloud to see and the light is nearly optimal. The train may come – Charles is ready for it!

Might you have guessed that the material of the bridge is carton being able to withstand this weight? Well, just like in real life, the maximum load of a bridge is depending on its construction. All our laser-cut bridges have this high load. It is many times higher than the weights of the trains running over them – despite of their delicate appearance.  The bridgeheads are also included in the Fishbelly bridge laser-cut kit. By the way: All NOCH laser-cut bridges can be combined with each another resulting in very interesting combinations.
